March 12th, 2010Fashion History: China Machado
March 12th, 2010China Machado (born Noelie Dasouza Machado) was the first non-Caucasian model to be photographed for the major U.S. fashion magazines
“I’m practical. I see something, and I do it”. - China Machado
I was reading through my February issue of W magazine when I came across the article about China Machado. Being that I’m a photographer though, the first thing my eyes caught attention too was the Richard Avedon constructed dress ( 1st photo) . I figure that if Richard Avedon shot pictures of her.. her existance had too be big. - BrittSense

Fashion Week Comes to an End
March 11th, 2010As Fashion Week in Paris came to an end yesterday , I made certain to arrive at the Hermes Show to grasp my last Paris FW experience - being in the midst of style galore and fashion lifestyle at its BEST.
This time around I managed to meet a fellow fashion student in Paris our conversation was interrupted by a man who had mistaken me for a fashion show attendee and handed me a cute little booklet pertaining to the whole week of Fashion in Paris, France March 2010.
Shortly after a stampede of people were exiting the last show and boy was it a sight to see…
hesitant to take photos, yet again, but i managed to snap these quickies
From all of the festivities of My 1st Paris Fashion Week I managed to get a souvenir
My Own Fashion Week Booklet! =D

Round & Digital
March 11th, 2010I was never really a fan of watches, maybe because growing up my mom always made me wear one that read ANALOG TIME - I sucked at counting the minutes if it wasn’t at the 30 mark or directly pointing at the twelve! BUT if she would have purchased me something like this wearing a watch a telling time would have been a breeze!
Burberry Sport has released a round, stainless steel case watch with nickel plating and cool tiny pyramid detailing all over. The band of the watch is rubber with the Burberry Sport logo. To make the details even better its WATER RESISTANT! I don’t know what I like more - the fact that the time is DIGITAL in the appearance of a round analog form or the intricate details that make it simple & dope at the same time…either way two thumbs up for ROUND & DIGITAL Burberry Sport! *KENO*
My 1st PARIS FW Experience
March 11th, 2010Everyone says “YOU MUST GO TO THE FASHION SHOWS WHILE YOU ARE IN PARIS!” Well in our “FASHION LANGUAGE” among students who live, eat & s**t FASHION & DESIGN that means go through all the hassle of finding out where the shows are, get lost on metro and struggle asking for directions in FRENCH to finally just be in front of the tent of the designers’ show & embrace all the surrounding atmosphere of PARIS FASHION WEEK <<LOL>>
And as crazy as it sounds I DID EXACTLY THAT!
I arrived at the Kenzo Fashion Show located in the Garden of The Tuileries around 3:30pm (show began at 4pm) and it was B-A-N-A-N-A-S!! I was too ashamed to take photographs because i was still deciding if I should try to play it off and act like a socialite who lost my ticket to somehow GET INSIDE THE INFAMOUS FASHION TENT!–>OPERATION FAIL!
BUT never the less being in the midst of models running in 6 inch heels, yelling “pardon pardon” to make it “backstage”, photographers&paparazzi fighting in line to finally run into the tent a get a good spot to shoot the runway and celebrities in attendance, and big french bodyguards protecting the entrance like their life depended on it–My 1st Paris FW experience was simply BREATHTAKING!
Not to mention all the variations in exquisite style that I saw from everyone who was granted the nobility to walk through the rusty 3 foot gated barrier and have access to the BIG WHITE TENT! <ahhhhhh> I was staring in awe still trying to plot my way through! *KENO*
Fashion Week Looks
March 11th, 2010A WAY TO GO OUT!!
March 10th, 2010

“People always ask if I think about a concept or the show or the front row or whatever first. No! Fuck off! The client comes first! The collection is driven by what clients want in different parts of the world, so I want them to be able to see it straight away and to judge it for themselves. Well I just think that which celebrities are wearing it, what reviews say — none of it matters if it’s all there for people to make their own minds up. I’m 40 now, but I want this to be a company that lives way beyond me, and I believe that customers are more important to making that happen than press. When I’m dead, hopefully this house will still be going. On a spaceship. Hopping up and down above the earth.” -ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
