The ALL SHOOK DOWN Music Festival took place over the weekend and we can’t say how much fun it was. One headliner included JANELLE MONAE [sigh]. In twenty years, Janelle Monae will remain a classic. She’s great at what she does and for those who haven’t seen her live…her voice sounds just as if your listening to her latest CD: The ArchAndroid. If you haven’t coped it yet…YOU MUST!! The first time I seen this Out The box chick perform was when she opened for, the gorgeous, Erykah Badu almost two months back. Gracing the Bay area again so soon I was happy and in awe to be in her creative world. Her band? Has so much freaking energy!!! The performance from start to finish was GREAT! Down to the keyboardist and people she most likely knew dancing on the side of the stage, the energy was alive. It’s the best when an artist performs your favorite song [two of mines include,  'Faster' and 'Locked inside'].  It makes you feel really special. Not missing a note or dancing beat Monae’s petite self wowed those who never heard her music before. She definitely gained more than a few new fans at All Shook Down. Hopefully we will see her soon again. The Music Festival itself was rad and a MUST attendance next year. -Passion
