I was thinking about this subject yesterday, do you believe what you do in your personal life should effect your career. My initial thought was no, considering your personal life  and career are two different things. But when I actually thought about it,would you support a local business if the owner was a registered sex offender? Does it matter depending on what the person did?

First example is Kanye West, he didn’t do anything that’s illegal it just breaks the law of “common courtesy”. I believe after the couple of  stunts he has pulled at Awards shows, it’s effected his career. Some people won’t really support him because he is getting out of control in situations.  But should this matter, when it comes to his music?

Next up is R. Kelly, now in his case what he was accused of was illegal. Although he was found not guilty, some people still think he was guilty. He still has supporters, I hear people say all the time they will still go see him in concert. Even the people who thinks he did it supports him. Would you still listen to his music if he did do it?

Last, but certainly not the least most publicised case is the Chris Brown and Rihanna case.  I would say he was the most effected, career wise. There has been reports of some record stores taking his music off the shelf. We all know he was wrong including him, but should it have an impact on his music career?
