IN GREAT NEWS!!!! Judge Lifts Proposition 8 Ban

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

No4Corners doesn’t discriminate.  Imagine being with someone for almost 20 years of your life and you cannot marry them.  That’s true Love…what most marriages lack nowadays.

Wednesday afternoon, Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker ruled that the same-sex marriage ban violates the equal rights of gay and lesbian couples, a decision setting the stage for a promised appeal that appears destined for the U.S. Supreme Court.

Walker ordered that Proposition 8 should be immediately voided, and same-sex couples be given the chance to marry in California. However, the San Francisco judge also agreed to put his ruling on hold for at least two days to consider arguments on whether the state should be barred immediately from enforcing the ban.

Argentina Legalizes Same Sex Marriage

Monday, July 19th, 2010

argentina-gay-marriage-2009-10-29-13-40-55

Yesterday Argentina legalized same sex marriage nationwide becoming the first Latin American country to allow gay couples to have the same rights and protection as heterosexual couples.  It’s about time that we adjust legislations according to the changes in society and re-evaluate our state of ‘equality’ throughout the nation.   The 16 hour debate was a close call with 33 voting in favor of, and 27 voting against, finally at the wee hours of 4 AM the decision was made.

Don’t be too quick to celebrate though because there is an overwhelming amount of work to be done right here in America.  While Argentina has taken a profound step towards equality, our nation is still plagued with ignorance and intolerance.

Main Argument In Proposition 8 Trial: PRO- CREATION

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

protest

This is  extreme. If the main argument is pro-creation there should be no single parents or non-married couples allowed to give birth.  Any person who will give a child love and a warm home should be allowed to adopt/have a baby. There are too many stranded children in the world or California period for Prop 8 defendents to be worried about pro creation.

Closing arguments concluded Wednesday afternoon in the Proposition 8 trial with more pointed questions from U.S.  District Judge Vaughn R. Walker, who is presiding over the landmark proceedings to determine the constitutionality of California’s ban on gay marriage.

When court resumed after the lunch break, Charles Cooper, attorney for proponents of the measure, told Walker that the “marital relationship is fundamental to the existence and survival of the race. Without the marital relationship, society would come to an end.”

McDonald’s First Pro Gay Ad

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

McDonald’s released its first Pro Gay Ad in France. I have to say it was real, and beautifully put together to get a point across. Most parent’s do not know, or pretend not to know about their children, and this is the typical reaction you’ll receive from your child (the ‘if you only knew’ look) .

Round of Applause.

University of North Carolina Chapel Hill student Sara Isaacson said
coming out as a lesbian was a matter of integrity.

But because Isaacson is an ROTC member, her choice to publicly declare her sexuality might cost her $80,000 — the cost of her tuition so far at UNC, which has been paid for thus far by an ROTC scholarship.
